Join us for a powerful full moon honoring of our mother earth. This event is free of charge.
We will come together as community and offer our gratitude and thanks by way of creating a gratitude bundle, also known as a despacho.
The intention of this earth honoring ceremony in downtown Oakland near Oakland school for the Arts (OSA) is to ask the nature spirits of the area for assistance and safety of all people - especially our young, vibrant people that go to OSA.
We will commune with the moon, land, wind, plant life and all that is present and acknowledge that even in an urban area the nature spirits are alive and well. Together we express our gratitude and our highest thought forms (aka prayer) to say thank you for all we are given by our mother earth. This is a powerful earth honoring ceremony and by creating a despacho, it brings us into sacred reciprocity with the natural world.
In addition to the despacho, we'll walk a spiral pattern around the OSA campus with sound instruments, singing, incenses, flowering waters...and create parade of positive love and healing!!
After this walk we will return to the park and offer the bundle to the earth.
These ceremonies are very powerful - and also a festive and community building event.
It is an open ceremony all humans are invited, kids welcome.
Bring sound instruments if you have them :-)
Please come!! and tell your friends!
